@@MattiasHolmgren I presented Pianoteq as something modern, the future of plugins and you said you used it waaay back. That contrast is kind of funny. 😅 I think we are both correct tho. It's an old plugin but at the same time as physical modelling improve I think it will take some ground from sample libraries. Even faster if physical modelling is done by AI. Where will we be in 10 years? I want to believe it will be even easier and more fun to create music.

@jenstornell yeah they probably have 311 more recent versions. 😂👌I have PianoTeq 3, can’t even remember when I bought it. Many years ago. Its nice but if you are after a specific sound. Samples is still the way. Pianoteq is very lightweight though 💪🥳🚀

Yes if you open a slot, you will see theres a sampler. In the samplers fx slot (or after) you can add extra individual fx…. But easiest way is open the Bitwig mixer, expand the drum machine so it shows all individual drum slot tracks (individ. Samplers) and there u can add plugin fx to each individual slot. Enjoy 🤘🥁

@@MattiasHolmgren yes i know i can compress individually but thats not what i'm looking for, i wanted to compress snare AND the kick together like in a drum bus... but not the cymbal.

​@@matrixmodulator here's a tedious "workaround" to accomplish routing one or multiple drum machine slots into a single bus in Bitwig. Mute both Kick & Snare. Create a new Audio Track. On the Audio Track add an FX Layer. In the FX layer add two Audio Receivers. AR 1 should be set to Drum Machine Kick (Pre) and AR2 should be set to Drum Machine Snare (Pre). Voila. Now you have kick n snare into a single bus.... lol

But I wouldn't go that route. I would rather just duplicate the drum track and have kick & snare on another track lane....and the rest of the kit on its own individual track lane...MUCH easier and faster way to accomplish processing kick & snare as a separate "bus".

Yes it’s class compliant, just hook it up via usb. Its midi and power over usb.

Yeah a sample will always be a static sample. If you don’t program additional modulation on top.

Their filters is what mostly defines their ”sound”. I can’t hear much diff between Raw oscillators. 🤷‍♂️ but I love the overall pure sound of Zebralette 3 and its osc fx and functions. Serum is lovely. I use them for different sounds though since they are faster to program for specific sounds.

if you want to do Round Robin sampling. I guess a workarouns is to just trigger another round of autosampling and rename the files slightly manuall. So you got rr1, rr2 or whatnot. 🤷‍♂️ may work on some instruments depending on how their RR is programmed.

Yeah that's also a solution. But then again Sample Robot is not free (I did use Sample Robot like 20 years back 😂). Showing a FREE solution was the whole point of my video. 🎁 And it's also quite convenient to do it with MPC Beats....or personally I do it via Auto Sampler in Logic Pro which is also straightforward process.

@@MattiasHolmgren so as far as the windows users they can use a midi file to trigger the notes and then use a trial version of Awave Studio to edit and export to SF2 or SFZ and there are plenty of free Soundfont player plugins

@@MattiasHolmgren yes but mpc beats does not export SF2 and SF2 is the most universal sound file as it can be used for free in every OS including mobile devices and most keyboards that have samplers

@aharonpearl9161 indeed but you can use the resulting .wav files in any sampler / format you want. That’s the beauty. Of course you can fiddle other apps to make it into sf2 if you want.

That's a great question.

Well the filenames spit out of the auto sampler are named with their root-key that they are sampled in. C3, Gb3 (F#), C4, Gb4 etc. So it's easy for any sampler to know where to set the root key and approx place the sample coverage. I think the functionality to analyse the root key is also built into the sampler if a sample lacks the naming convention. But of course it's gonna be more accurate if we have the naming convention setup. In Logic you are probably gonna use it's own Auto Sampler to make this, and that way everything will be more correct in terms of naming convention that it's sampler prefers etc. So it will work out of the box. I wanted to show a FREE approach for anyone (may it be PC / Mac) so using MPC Beats is the only free good alternative I know of....that can also velocity sample. And with very easy and fast workflow! 👌
